Arizona. There is no other state in the American Southwest so fascinating, wild and so full of natural beauties to inspire numerous western  stories, films, comics and legends. Annexed as the 48th state to the Union in 1912, and famous for the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Horseshoe Bend, the Sonoran desert, the Painted Desert, the Petrified Forest and the Meteor Crater. Pristine landscapes and Indian reserves, archaeological sites, mountains and canyons, cactus and arid desert that have influenced the history, style and life of the cowboy. Here in the mountainous north at 2000 m  height, among the yellow pine forests near the Colorado plateau, in the city of Flagstaff, the talented photographer Jose Martinez decided to found his Spur Hat Company, specialized in the handmade manufacturing of 100X beaver felts, modeled in the most traditional western style and buckaroo with models such as Gus or Boss of the Plains. Jose Martinez’s passion for hats and the artistic expression of his photographs transport us to a free and wild world where nature, man and animal are still in symbiosis. Go West! Spur Hats!
