LEVI’S & AQUAFILL MAKING JEANS FROM FISHING NETS

For several years now Levi Strauss & Co. is committed on environmental protection through advanced technologies and this collection gives further proof of Levi’s commitment to a sustainable supply chain.levi-econyl2The development of this new line involves a partnership with Aquafill, Italian nylon manufacturer and  inventor of ECONYL, a synthetic material made with 100% regenerated nylon waste materials. In line with Levi’s long date interests in ​​promoting eco sustainability of our planet, Giulio Bonazzi, President and CEO of Aquafill, said in a statement: “We envision a world where everyday items don’t have to come at the expense of the environment. This new partnership is further proof that sustainable materials can be used to reinvigorate products that have been traditionally made. Levi’s is redefining the denim industry.”
